Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour midshift hours from 12:00 PM to 12:30 AM
* 3x12 shift schedule with 36 guaranteed hours per week
* Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* Call requirements to be discussed during interview
* May be required to float to other areas of the organization up to competency level
* Required to pick up one additional shift during each 4-week schedule period
* May be required to work major holidays
* Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room experience required
* Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, TNCC, and ENPC or PALS
* Provide comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care utilizing the nursing process
* Coordinate care between other medical professionals as needed
* Work in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment requiring intensive and continuous mental effort

Facility:

This facility is the region's only Level II Trauma Center, serving a 500-mile radius and treating over 80,000 emergency room and trauma patients annually. The facility features 800 inpatient beds and 80 ER beds, operating at a volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital and offers leading-edge services including a robotic surgery institute, comprehensive brain and nerve care, and advanced heart and cancer services. Notable achievements include the region's first accredited heart failure center, first Institute for Neurosciences, first low-dose CT imaging, and first Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System.
