Opportunity:

RN - Intermediate Care Unit

Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour day shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No on-call requirements
* Schedule varies based on department needs and can include weekends and holidays
* Must be available to work 2 of 3 major holidays (Eve + Day counts as 1 holiday)
* May be required to pick up one additional shift per 4-week schedule period
* May be required to float to other units up to competency level
* Minimum 2 years of IMC/Stepdown experience required
* Medical/Neuro ICU experience preferred
* Prior travel experience of one 13-week assignment required
* Must have experience with vasopressors, titratable drips, art lines, neuro-stepdown patients, procedural sedation, thrombolytics, and trach management
* Required to pass an ECG/Telemetry exam including reading and interpreting rhythm strips - failure results in contract termination
* Care for patients experiencing severe but non-life-threatening issues requiring moderately complex assessments and moderately intensive therapies
* Patient population includes general medical disease processes such as post ischemic/hemorrhagic stroke, sepsis, cardiac, and respiratory conditions
* Provide nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients including their families and caregivers
* 18-bed unit focused on collaborative multidisciplinary, patient-centered care
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Nevada RN license required prior to start

The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with stroke accreditation and 800 inpatient beds, treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually.
