Job Details:

* Work 12-hour shifts from 6:45 AM to 6:45 PM or 6:45 PM to 6:45 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Rotate holidays with permanent staff
* Contract does not include on-call requirement
* Cancellation policy allows 12 hours every 2 weeks
* Float to post-partum as needed
* 2-shift floor-specific orientation provided
* Minimum 2 years of experience in Labor & Delivery specialty required
* Travel experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, Intermediate or above EFM
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Chart using MEDITECH electronic medical record system
* Use OB Trace fetal heart monitoring system
* Follow AWHONN staffing ratios
* Care for high-risk OB to routine OB patients as well as antepartum patients
* Work in unit with 12 labor beds, 5 antepartum beds, 2 ORs, and a 6-bed OB emergency room
* Facility delivers 150-200 births per month
* OR techs scrub for C-sections, attend vaginal deliveries, and handle all stocking
* Perform C-sections, cerclages, and tubals on unit
* Neonatology and OB hospitalist available in house 24/7
* Respiratory therapy and pharmacy support available 24/7

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive Labor & Delivery unit with a strong focus on both routine and high-risk obstetric care. The unit is supported by in-house neonatology and OB hospitalist coverage available around the clock, along with 24/7 respiratory therapy and pharmacy services. The facility is designated as a baby-friendly hospital with lactation specialists on-site to support new mothers, and maintains a dedicated OB emergency room to handle urgent obstetric needs.
