Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM
* Full-time position
* Very high acuity unit with a heavy patient load including strokes, cardiovascular conditions, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health, and sepsis cases
* Some trauma cases present, though not a trauma-designated unit
* Security available on-site 24/7
* Practice independently, providing routine and complex nursing care
* Utilize the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
* Administer medications and treatments using appropriate protocols, monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness
* Address complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
* Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided
* Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and caregivers
* Make appropriate assignments and delegate to other care providers as needed
* 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred
* Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), PALS (AHA), TNCC, De-Escalation
* RN License in state of employment or compact required
