Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg / Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

* Every third weekend required, holidays if scheduled
* No on-call responsibilities
* Minimum 24 months of experience in Med Surg or Med Surg Tele required
* First time travelers accepted
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Care for all types of med surg patients including overflow of post-operative surgical hips and knees
* Patient ratios of 4-5:1 in a 24-bed unit
* Administer heparin drips
* Remote tele tech unit monitoring
* Navy blue solid scrubs required
* Float across all campuses as needed
* No blocked shifts allowed
* Department prefers candidates who can extend beyond initial 13-week contract
* Required certification: BLS (AHA or ARC)
* Active Iowa nursing license or compact/multistate license required
* Skills checklist specific to Med Surg or Med Surg Tele required
* Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
