RN - Oncology

Job Details:

* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted
* Patient ratio of 1:4 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend required based on unit needs
* No block scheduling
* All requested time off must be submitted with the submittal and approved prior to offer
* Float to other units within skillset based on facility needs
* May float to main campus connected by a pedestrian bridge
* Charting system: EPIC
* Scrub color: Navy blue
* Required certifications: BLS, Chemotherapy Certification (ONS/ONCC)
* ACLS preferred
* Active NJ or Compact nursing license required
* Care for patient age groups including adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Patient diagnoses include medical oncology, surgical oncology, blood disorders, and intermediate-care patients
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, radiology, pharmacy, social services, rapid response teams, and more
* Key skills include administration of chemotherapy, IV push administration, continuous infusion, managing cytotoxic spills, monitoring chemotherapy, and recognizing and managing side effects
