Opportunity:
RN - Emergency Department
Job Details:
* 12-hour evening shifts
* Ability to float to any UCSF campus facility
* Patient ratio of 4:1 across days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of 60 patients across 15 rooms and 17 beds
* Care for patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience required
* Pediatric Emergency Department experience required
* Epic charting system experience required
* Community hospital experience required
* Prior travel experience required within the last 12 months
* BSN required for all RN positions
* Prior teaching hospital experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Required certifications: CA RN License, AHA BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Preferred certifications: CPI, NRP, OCN, SANE, TNCC
* Required skills include but are not limited to: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, chest tube insertion and management, continuous IV sedation and paralytics, IV vasopressors, ICP monitoring, intubation, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, management of dysrhythmias, interpretation of arterial blood gases, triage, and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction
* Interdisciplinary support available including respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary
