Opportunity:
RN - Cardiac ICU
Job Details:
* 3 x 12-hour shifts per week
* Weekend coverage required
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float required to ICUs and Cardiac Telemetry units
* Stand-by call required with no call pay
* Strong cardiac ICU experience required, specifically CVICU or CCU background
* 2 years of experience required
* 1 year minimum experience with Epic EMR required
* Care for cardiac and medical intensive care patients as well as step-down overflow
* Manage advanced cardiac devices including LVAD, Impella, IABP, and Transcutaneous Ventricular Pacemaker (TVP)
* Perform and manage ventilator care, CRRT, invasive lines, and hemodynamic monitoring
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post cardiac surgery care (not directly from OR), pre/post cardiac cath/intervention, and sheath removal
* Additional skills include: arterial line management, central line care, continuous IV sedation, blood product administration, IABP, Impella, IV insulin protocols, titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventilator management, PICC line management, and ABG interpretation
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, physical therapy, and rapid response teams
* Pre-assignment testing and modules required to be completed within 48 hours of receiving login information
* One pre-approved time off request permitted per contract
* Orientation is 72 hours and held every Monday
