Opportunity:

ICU Nights

Job Details:

* Night shift ICU position
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week, with 48 hours allowed at straight time
* Patient ratio of 1:2 maintained on days, nights, and weekends
* 6 weekend shifts required per schedule period
* Float required to MS, Stepdown, PCU, ER, and CVICU with a maximum of 4 patients while floating
* 32-bed ICU unit serving adult patient population
* 1.5+ years of experience required; first-time travelers accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Required skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, care of ventilated patients, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, CVA/acute stroke management, ventilator management, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, IV insulin protocols, interpretation of arterial blood gases and dysrhythmias, PICC line management, suctioning (ETT, NT), and management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, social services, and phlebotomy
* Pending NM/Compact license accepted but must be obtained prior to start

This facility is a well-equipped intensive care unit featuring 32 beds dedicated to the care of adult patients with complex medical needs. The unit is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, social services, interpretation services, and phlebotomy. The facility also includes an affiliated heart hospital, offering a broad spectrum of specialized cardiovascular care alongside its comprehensive ICU services.
