RN - NICU

Job Details:

* Option to work 4x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with no call, or 3x12-hour shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) with call requirement
* If working 3x12s, at least one 12-hour call shift bi-weekly is required
* Weekend coverage required every other weekend unless needs change
* Float may be required to other NICU units or facilities as needed
* Minimum 2 years of experience in field required
* Travel experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
* NICU Level II and Level III experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Patient ratio is 1:2 for days, nights, and weekends
* Unit capacity of 41 beds with a daily census of 38
* Documentation system: EPIC; medication system: Pyxis/Omnicell
* Patient population includes neonates and infants 22 weeks gestation and greater
* Patient diagnoses include abdominal wall defects, HIE, RDS/RFS, drug exposure/withdrawal, hypoglycemia, sepsis, TEF, Duodenal Atresia, Diaphragmatic Hernia, Urethral Stenosis, myelomeningocele, and ROP
* Special procedures include full body cooling, chest tubes, surgical repair of all anomalies except cardiac, tracheostomy management, Avastin administration, and laser eye surgery
* Special equipment includes Arctic Sun, Blanketroll, Jet Ventilator, HFOV, Draeger Ventilator, HFNC, Bubble CPAP, Alaris, Philips Central, B Braun and Infinity feeding pumps, Atom Dual Incubators, GE Dual Incubators, Draeger Caleos, Radiant Warmers, External Shunt, and Ostomy
* Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE, and South Carolina license
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, Transportation, and Unit Secretary
