Opportunity:
RN MS/Tele (Ortho)
Job Details:
* Work on a 26-bed adult orthopedic spine unit specializing in spinal surgeries including laminectomies, spinal fusions, and discectomies
* Patient ratios of 1:5-6 on days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend requirement with 6 weekend shifts per contract
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Care for patients with diagnoses including Med/Surg, Tele, cardiac, low-risk ACS, TIAs, diabetes, hypertension, COPD, dehydration, chest pain, DVT, and PE
* Provide integrated pain management, physical therapy, and mobility support for post-operative patients
* Perform and assist with special procedures including bedside lumbar puncture, post cath (radial/femoral), post-surgical care, post renal biopsy, CT Angio, and Heparin drips
* Operate special equipment including telemetry, bedside pulse oximetry, dynamaps, and glucometers
* Float to other units or campuses as needed, limited to areas where qualified and competencies are documented
* Minimum 1 year of experience required; orthopedic experience required
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Must have an active SC or multistate license (pending licenses not accepted)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, Dysrhythmia certified
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
