Opportunity:

RD - Dietitian

Job Details:

* 13-week contract assignment
* 5x8 hour shifts scheduled from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
* 1 year of experience required
* Required certifications: BLS, CDR - RD/RDN license
* Missouri Licensed Dietician State License required (pending license accepted but must be obtained prior to start date)
* Scrub color: Caribbean Blue
* Primary focus is inpatient care with a majority of adult patients, including geriatric and pediatric populations
* Outpatient consultations for all age ranges, typically adult
* Required skills include: nutrition assessments and reassessments, dysphagia management, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), fluid and electrolyte requirements, protein calorie malnutrition, aspiration safety, and nutrient deficiencies
* Additional skill areas include: insulin management, immunosuppressants, steroids, diuretics, laxatives, radiation, and failure to thrive
* Serves adolescent, adult, geriatric, and pediatric patient populations
* 36 orientation hours required
* Local candidates within 60-mile radius are not accepted
* First-time travelers accepted

This healthcare facility is a 114-bed inpatient facility with a daily census of approximately 55 patients. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary services.
