Radiation Therapist

Job Details:

* 13-week contract assignment
* Day shift, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* Daily patient caseload of 14 patients
* Daily census of 55 patients with 55 visits per day
* Block scheduling available
* No weekend shifts required
* No on-call required
* No floating between units or sister facilities required
* 1 year of experience required, first-time travelers accepted
* Charting system: Epic (experience preferred)
* Treat adult patient population across all cancer diagnoses
* Perform and assist with procedures including SBRT, SRS, and HDR
* Operate special equipment including Varian TrueBeam x2 machines, Gamma Med HDR, and RT Align
* Work with on-site Radiation Oncologist, Physicist, and Dosimetry for real-time support
* Skills required include IMRT, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, Respiratory Gating, Stereotactic Radiosurgery, External Beam Therapy, Tumor Localization, Radiation Safety, and Isolation Precautions/PPE
* Required certifications: ARRT R, ARRT T, BLS, and Maryland State License (pending license accepted)
* Maximum of one pre-approved time-off request per contract

Facility:

This is a 327-bed teaching facility offering a comprehensive range of medical services. The radiation oncology department is equipped with advanced technology and supported by an interdisciplinary team including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, social services, rapid response teams, and more. The facility uses Epic for charting and provides real-time on-site specialist support within the oncology unit.
