Job Details:

* Four 10-hour shifts per day plus call requirements
* Shift hours from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* Schedule is determined by OR supervisor
* 6-7 call shifts required per month
* 2-3 weekend call shifts required per 13-week contract
* At least 1 holiday call shift per year depending on facility needs
* Floating within the OR department as needed
* Scrubs are provided by the facility
* 1-3 days of department-specific orientation provided
* Pass/fail open book exam required during orientation with a minimum score of 90% required to pass
* BSN not required
* Required certification: BLS
* Must have experience with total joints, robotics, general laparoscopic cases, urology, hand and foot, breast cases including reconstructions
* Must be proficient with EPIC EMR system
* Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care departments
* Driver's license required at submittal
* Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
* Candidates may not be full-time, part-time, or PRN with any associated CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facilities
* Requested time off must be submitted upfront with a maximum of 7 days per 13-week contract

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a 6-suite operating room department handling over 400 cases per month. The department specializes in a wide range of adult and pediatric outpatient procedures, including orthopedics (total joints and sports medicine), general surgery, OB/GYN, robotic surgery, plastics, ENT, urology, hand, podiatry, and breast reconstructions. OR technicians are available on staff, and the facility utilizes EPIC as its electronic medical records system. The department prides itself on a strong team culture with high engagement among staff, anesthesia teams, and surgeons.
