Opportunity:

RN - ER/Medsurg/Swing

Job Details:

* Night shift position working 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM or 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with self/team scheduling
* Every other weekend requirement
* Every third holiday requirement
* Float between ER, Medsurg, and Swing Bed units as needed
* Nurse-to-patient ratios: ER 1:3-4, Medsurg Days 1:5, Medsurg Nights 1:6
* Minimum 1 year of ER experience required
* Charge nurse experience required
* Critical Access experience strongly preferred
* Common ER diagnoses include traumas, strokes, STEMIs, chest pain, respiratory conditions, and lacerations
* Medsurg patients range from pediatrics to geriatrics including pneumonia, UTIs, observation, and short-term swing bed patients
* Common drips include Heparin and Levophed
* RNs are required to read and interpret their own telemetry/monitor strips
* One 12-hour shift of unit/department specific orientation provided
* Successful candidates should demonstrate teamwork, communication, flexibility, ability to work under pressure, and adaptability
* Charting system: MEDITECH
* BSN not required
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS, TNCC

This critical access hospital operates a combined ER, Medsurg, and Swing Bed unit serving a diverse patient population. The facility functions as a STEMI Receiving and Stroke Center with a 2-bay emergency room and 10 Medsurg beds.
