RN - General Surgery

Job Details:

* Work 12-hour day shifts from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM
* Weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
* 40 guaranteed hours per week
* On-call responsibilities required
* Work in a Level II Trauma OR with 18 operating rooms
* Serve a patient population ranging from neonates to geriatrics
* Perform and assist with procedures including trauma, neurosurgery (ACDF, spinal fusions, cranial procedures), Da Vinci Xi robotics, urology, vascular, open hearts, general surgery, trauma ortho, pediatrics, plastics, and ENT
* Provide optimal patient care utilizing nursing process including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
* Deliver comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients and their families/caregivers
* Work in an extremely busy and fast-paced environment serving a 500-mile radius
* Minimum 2 years of experience in a Trauma OR setting required
* Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada State RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* CMP must be completed within 1 year of start date for Pre-op/Recovery RN, PACU, OR, and SDS positions

Facility:

This facility is a Level II Trauma Center and the only trauma center between Sacramento and Salt Lake City, treating over 80,000 emergency and trauma patients annually. The 800-bed inpatient hospital features 80 ER beds, two emergency rooms, and operates at a volume and pace comparable to a Level I trauma center. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital, a leading robotic surgery institute, comprehensive brain and nerve care, and heart and cancer services. Notable achievements include the region's first accredited heart failure center, first Institute for Neurosciences, first low-dose CT imaging, first Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System, and first dedicated PET/CT scanner, Biplane Angiography, and 3T MRI technologies.
