Opportunity:
SW - Oncology Social Worker
Job Details:
* Hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote
* Provide dedicated ambulatory clinical social work services to patients and their families
* Position specifically supports disease centers with a high volume of prostate cancer patients
* Provide services to patients with all cancer types
* Conduct clinical psychosocial assessments and interventions including crisis response
* Provide individual, couples, and family consultation, therapy, and counseling
* Offer short-term bereavement support to patients and families
* Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to reduce cancer-related distress and improve quality of life
* Work alongside experienced oncology social workers as part of a dedicated team
* Serve adult patient population
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Mental health and/or healthcare experience required; oncology or serious illness experience preferred
* LICSW certification required
* EPIC experience preferred
* Travel experience preferred but first-time travelers will be considered
* Massachusetts license in-hand required; no pending licenses accepted
* Preferred skills include biopsychosocial assessment, family therapy, individual counseling, parental counseling, crisis intervention, short-term therapy, advance directives in hospice, high-risk patient intervention, knowledge of cultural issues, NASW Code of Ethics, and experience with cancer, suicide/homicide/self-harm, child protective services, and adult protective services
