Opportunity:

RN - ICU Float Pool

Job Details:

* 12-hour rotating day and night shifts (7:00 AM?7:30 PM / 7:00 PM?7:30 AM)
* 36-hour work week consisting of 3 twelve-hour shifts
* Schedule based on operational need and may rotate between day and night shifts across schedule cycles
* Float pool position not unit based; required to float to all TCUs, ICUs, ED, and PACU across all UCSF campuses
* Patient ratio of 2:1 for days, nights, and weekends
* Patients include adult and geriatric age groups
* Minimum 2.5 years of recent adult medical/surgical critical care RN experience required
* Variety in critical care experience preferred including med/surg, cardiac, and neuro
* Recent float pool, PACU, or emergency room experience preferred
* Teaching hospital experience required
* Travel experience required
* Trauma Level II experience required
* Epic charting system experience preferred
* BSN required
* California RN license required
* Required certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Key skills include but are not limited to: arterial line management, care of ventilated patients, central line care and management, CVVHD/CRRT, ECMO, ICP monitoring, Impella, Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP), pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, ventricular assist device (LVAD/RVAD), and management of multisystem organ dysfunction
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of offer; no additional RTO requests accepted mid-contract and RTO cannot fall within the first two weeks of start
* 2 professional references from most recent employer required at time of submission
