Opportunity:
Endoscopy RN
Job Details:
* Work shifts from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM
* On-call is required, including every third weekend covering Friday, Saturday, and Sunday
* Weekday call also required Monday through Thursday
* Traveler must remain within 30 minutes of the facility to respond to call as expected
* Patient ratios are 1:1 in the procedure suite; Pre-op and discharge ratios can be 4:1
* Floating within scope to meet facility needs is possible but highly unlikely
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Scrubs are provided in Navy Blue
* Charting system is Epic (preferred experience)
* Free parking available with pass distributed at pickup
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* SC license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS
* Required skills include: airway management, balloon dilators, circulating, colonoscopy, EGD, electrosurgical units, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS), ERCP, esophageal varices and banding, forceps, foreign body equipment, inpatient and outpatient endoscopy center experience, polyp snares, pre/post procedure care, recovery of monitored anesthesia care sedation, scrubbing, specimen handling and labeling, and starting and maintaining IVs
* Special procedures performed include: colonoscopy, EGD, ERCPs, and EUS
* Special equipment used includes Olympus scopes, Olympus towers, and gGastro imaging software
* Patients served include adults and geriatrics
* Average daily census of 15 patients
Facility:
This acute care hospital operates with 75 staffed beds and provides a comprehensive range of medical services to its patient population. The facility offers interdisciplinary support including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, and pharmacy. The endoscopy department is equipped with modern Olympus scopes and towers along with advanced imaging software to support a variety of specialized procedures.
