RN - MS/Tele Stroke

Job Details:

* 13 or 26 week contract options available
* Night shift: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, 3x12 schedule
* Every other weekend coverage required
* Float required - may be floated to other units based on need and skill set
* Staffing ratio: 1:6 on nights
* Patient age groups: Adults and Geriatrics
* Medication system: Omnicell
* Minimum 1 year of EPIC EMR experience required
* Previous charge experience required
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Travel experience required - no first-time travelers
* Patient diagnoses include: Stroke/TIA, Seizure, Syncope, Pneumonia, Chest Pain, Dialysis, Acute Kidney Failure, Post Heart Cath, Respiratory Failure, Encephalopathy, CHF, and Sepsis
* Unit specializes in inpatient stroke and TIA patients as well as higher acuity med-surg patients
* Unit procedures include peritoneal dialysis and continuous bladder irrigation
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* Active Tennessee RN license required
* Required skills include: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, central line blood draw, telemetry monitoring, interpretation of dysrhythmias, heparin and insulin management, wound care, PICC line management, and use of rapid response/code teams

Facility:

This healthcare facility is a comprehensive inpatient hospital offering a wide range of specialty services and interdisciplinary support. The facility maintains a 30-bed unit with a daily census of 27 patients and provides access to IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretarial support. The organization is highly focused on patient experience and maintains strong standards for clinical excellence across its network of campuses.
