Open Position: RN - Med Surg Tele

Opportunity:

LTAC MS/TELE - NIGHT

Job Details:

* Night shift position on a Long-Term Acute Care Medical/Telemetry unit
* 36 or 48 hours per week accepted; standard schedule is 40 hours per week Monday through Friday
* Weekend coverage supported by rotating on-call among 6 to 8 staff members
* On-call required after 5:00 PM daily and on weekends, supported by primary and backup call staff
* Contract options of 13 or 26 weeks available
* Patient ratios: 4 patients per nurse on days, nights, and weekends
* Daily census of approximately 15 patients
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* 2 years of Medical/Telemetry experience required
* Neurology experience required
* LTAC experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS
* 1 year minimum experience with EPIC EMR required
* Required skills include complex wound care, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, tracheostomy care and management
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* May be required to float to other units for which competencies have been demonstrated and documented

This Long-Term Acute Care facility provides specialized inpatient medical and telemetry services for adult and geriatric patients. The facility is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretarial staff. The organization is committed to high-quality patient care and maintains structured scheduling and on-call systems to ensure consistent coverage across all shifts.
