Job Details:
* Self-scheduling with no block schedule required
* Weekends required - 6 shifts per 6-week period
* No on-call required
* 48-hour shifts approved
* Patient ratios of 1:4.5 for days, nights, and weekends
* Float required within Acute Care/Med Surg units, including potential float between sister facilities nearby contracted facility
* 24 orientation hours required
* Caring for adult and geriatric patient populations
* 27-bed unit focused on acute care surgery, emergency general surgery, and Med Surg overflow
* New acute care surgery, trauma, and emergency general surgery unit opening
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Trauma Level II experience preferred
* Compact license must be in hand at submission
* Required charting system: Epic
* Dress code for licensed nursing personnel: solid navy blue colored uniforms or scrub attire (print tops not acceptable)

* Required skills include: Blood Product Administration, Central Line Blood Draw, Chest Tube Management, PICC Line Management, Tracheostomy Care, Wound Care/Wound Vac, High Flow Nasal Cannula, BiPAP/CPAP Management, Phlebotomy, Starting and Maintaining IVs, PCA, Insulin Administration, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Surgical Drains, Feeding Tube Care, Colostomy/Ileostomy Management, Oral Suctioning, and Use of Rapid Response/Code Teams
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Pharmacy, Radiology, Social Services, and Rapid Response Teams
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
