Opportunity:

Emergency Department RN

Job Details:

* Work in 27-bed Emergency Department with patient ratios of 4-6:1
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics with additional staff at 11am and 3pm
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 5 RNs, and 2-3 medics
* Weekend requirement: four weekend shifts (Friday or Saturday for nights; Saturday or Sunday for days) in a four-week scheduling period
* No on-call responsibilities
* Must have completed 2-3 travel assignments
* Must have 2-3 years ER experience required
* High acuity ER experience with high volume and fast-paced environment preferred
* Experience with 5:1 patient ratios preferred
* Perform typical ER procedures including RSI, sepsis interventions, stroke protocol with tPA administration, central line placement, care of psychiatric patients, and transfers to other facilities (EMTALA)
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC
* Preferred certifications: ENPC, NRP, NIH
* Use Meditech EMR system
* Dress code requires navy blue or white scrubs
* No floating required
