Job Details:

* Work 3x12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
* Every other weekend required
* No on-call required
* Patient ratios of 1:5-6
* Float within scope to meet facility needs between like units and sister facilities may be required
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* South Carolina license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS and ACLS required; NIHSS preferred
* Telemetry competency required
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Block schedule requests can be submitted for approval prior to assignment but are not guaranteed
* Local candidates accepted on a case-by-case basis
* All requested time off must be submitted at time of submission
* Scrub color: Royal Blue
* Charting system: Epic
* No cost parking
* Treat adult and geriatric patient populations
* Care for patients with diagnoses including diabetes, hypertension, CAD, seizure, CVA, TIA, and CRD
* Required skills include cardiac telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, central line care and management, PICC line management, heparin protocols, blood product administration, wound care, tracheostomy care, and telemetry monitoring
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, phlebotomy, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season (June through November), all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams

Facility:

This 286-bed acute care hospital is a Level III Trauma Center offering a wide range of medical and surgical services to the community. The facility utilizes Epic for charting and supports an interdisciplinary care model with access to physical therapy, respiratory services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and more. The unit operates with a daily census of 36 patients across 43 beds, providing a dynamic and collaborative environment for healthcare professionals.
