Opportunity:

Echocardiology Technologist

Job Details:

* Perform high-quality transthoracic echocardiograms, limited studies, contrast studies, and bubble studies according to departmental protocols and professional standards
* Produce accurate cardiac measurements and diagnostic-quality images for interpretation by cardiologists
* Ensure patient safety and comfort throughout the examination process
* Utilize clinical judgment to evaluate patient history, optimize imaging, recognize significant abnormalities, and communicate urgent findings when appropriate
* Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and surgical settings
* Travelers will start on Wednesdays
* During the week of orientation, travelers on a 48-hour contract will only be guaranteed 36 hours due to midweek start
* Minimum one year of echocardiography experience required
* Travel experience required
* Graduate of an accredited Cardiac Sonography, Echocardiography, or Diagnostic Medical Sonography program required
* Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI required
* Current BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
* Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, pathology, Doppler principles, and echocardiographic imaging techniques required
* A dependable personal vehicle is required for the duration of this assignment as public transportation is not available in the area
