Job Details:

* Work 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
* Every other weekend requirement
* Holiday requirements apply
* 18 hours of on-call required per 6-week period, scheduled in 6-hour increments
* Hospital may cancel up to 4 shifts per 13-week assignment or 3 shifts for shorter assignments
* Must be able to circulate C-sections in the OR
* Minimum 2 years of high-risk L&D experience required
* Float to postpartum required; may float within Zone 1 in cases of extreme need
* Required certifications: ACLS (AHA), BLS (AHA), NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
* BSN not required; valid state license required for submission
* Must be able to titrate drips including oxytocin and magnesium sulfate
* Required to read own fetal monitor strips using GE Corometrics EFM system
* Common patient diagnoses include labor, C-sections, pre-eclampsia, IDM, and antepartum complications
* Self-scheduling process in place, though travelers will be expected to fill in where needed
* Hospital-provided scrubs
* Charting system: EPIC
* 1-shift unit-specific orientation required; must be in state for full week of orientation

Facility:

This acute care facility operates a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit featuring 22 L&D beds, 2 OR suites for C-sections, 7 triage beds, and 34 postpartum beds, delivering approximately 2,900 births annually. The unit is supported by a Level III NICU with APPs in house 24/7, anesthesia available around the clock, and surgical techs on staff. The facility follows AWHONN guidelines for staffing ratios and utilizes EPIC for electronic charting.
