Opportunity:

RN - Telemetry

Job Details:

* Work 3x12 night shifts with 36 guaranteed hours per week
* No on-call requirements
* Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts
* May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift per 4-week schedule period
* Patient ratios are determined by acuity and workload, typically 1:4 up to 1:6
* Care for patients in a 38-bed telemetry unit supported by RNs, CNAs, Critical Care Techs, and Advanced Care Techs
* Treat patient population including CHF, alcohol withdrawal, NSTEMIs, sepsis, dysrhythmias, pneumonia, COPD, and post-procedure patients including pacemakers, ablations, cath lab procedures, and OHS patients downgraded from ICU
* Administer non-titratable cardiac medication drips including Cardizem, Lasix, and Nitro
* May float to Intensive Care Units, medical-surgical units, and other facilities within the organization up to competency level
* Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience required
* Must pass a telemetry competency exam including identifying and measuring rhythm strips
* Prior travel experience of at least one 13-week assignment required
* Nevada RN license required prior to start
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX)

Facility:

This facility is an extremely busy and fast-paced Level II Trauma Center serving a 500-mile radius with 800 inpatient beds and 80 emergency room beds. The organization operates the only trauma center in the region between Sacramento and Salt Lake City, treating over 80,000 ER and trauma patients annually. The facility is home to the region's only children's hospital and offers comprehensive specialty services including a leading robotic surgery institute, neurosciences, and heart and cancer services. The volume and pace of this facility are comparable to that of a Level I trauma center.
