Opportunity:

RN - ICU

Job Details:

* Work 3 twelve-hour shifts per week
* Schedule includes every other weekend and holidays in rotation
* Patient ratio of 1:2 to 1:3, including holding inpatient PCU/med-surg admissions
* 28-bed mixed ICU unit
* Float policy applies to travelers first, with potential float to emergency department or PCU for ICU or PCU holds
* Bedside shift report required for every patient at each transfer of care
* Document using Meditech system
* Use i-mobile phones and mobile computer workstations on wheels
* Navy uniform required
* Minimum 36 months RN experience required with at least one year in an ICU
* One previous successful travel nursing assignment preferred, ideally in a Meditech facility
* Must be proficient in reading telemetry strips and managing patients on ventilators
* Prior CVICU experience preferred
* Advanced skills required: CRRT, advanced hemodynamics, and phlebotomy
* Administer breathing treatments including inhalers and nebulizers outside of the ICU
* Perform and assist with procedures including post-op day 0 CABG, impellas, balloon pumps, Swan Ganz, and advanced hemodynamics
* Experience with neuro procedures for aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage, EVDs, bolts (Codman), and Arctic Sun induced hypothermia preferred
* BSN preferred
* Advanced certifications preferred
* TNCC certification preferred
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale
