RN - Med/Surg

Job Details:

* Work on a 40-bed Medical-Surgical unit (5 West) in the main hospital building
* Schedule requires 36 hours per week with rotating weekends
* Patient ratio of 1:7 per nurse per shift
* Unit staffing includes 1 clinical nurse coordinator, 7 nurses, 4 PCTs, and 1 unit coordinator per shift
* Documentation system used is Meditech
* Contract labor is first to float to like units per floating policy
* Minimum 1 year of Med-Surg RN experience required
* Procedures performed on unit include EKGs, glucose monitoring, and venipuncture
* Required certification: BLS
* Current Georgia RN license required
* Dress code: Royal blue scrub top and bottom
* Standard medical-surgical equipment used on the unit

This 354-bed healthcare facility is located near the Georgia-South Carolina border and is well known for housing the largest burn center in the country, seeing more than 3,000 patients annually. The facility also features a Human Motion Institute, a Digestive Disease Center, a Pelvic Health Institute, and a Stroke Center, along with an emergency room recognized for having the shortest wait times in the area.
