Job Details:

* Work in a high-volume emergency department with 101 beds
* Patient ratios typically 4:1 for medical patients, up to 7:1 for ED behavioral holds
* Every other weekend scheduling required, no block scheduling available
* Must be flexible to float to all sections within the ED, no floating outside of the ED
* Document using Cerner electronic health record system
* Operate Baxter pumps and GE monitors
* Follow AIDET patient experience standards and maintain updated patient boards throughout each visit
* Navy scrubs required as dress code
* Minimum 2 years of nursing experience required with at least 1 year in an ER setting
* Previous experience in a Level II trauma center, comprehensive stroke center, or high-volume ED of 100,000+ visits preferred
* Teamwork mentality with ability to coach and give feedback in real time
* Flexibility to work in all areas of the ED required
* Required certifications prior to start date: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, CPI, NIHSS
* ENPC certification required within 90 days of hire
* Department is known for strong teamwork, welcoming culture, and serving a diverse multicultural community with over 120 languages represented
