Open Position: Surgical Tech - Surgical Tech CVOR

Estimated Gross Weekly Pay: $2520.20

Job Details:

* Work 10-hour day shifts from 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM on a 13-week contract
* On-call required after shift hours Friday through Sunday during scheduled weeks
* Must take call at least two days per week and 1-2 weekends every 6-week schedule depending on need
* Overtime days each week
* Minimum of 5 weekend shifts per contract
* Floating required per facility policy - may float to other units or campuses based on census and only to units qualified and trained in; float to the Main OR if CVOR volume is low
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* Minimum 2 years of experience required with Level 1 Trauma experience
* Travel experience required - first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel pairs and trios are welcome
* Must have CST certification through NBSTSA - pending certification not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS and CST through NBSTSA
* CVOR experience and First Assist roles required
* Required clinical skills include: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atherectomy, ASD repair, Cardiomyoplasty, CABG, ECMO, Mitral valve replacement, Pericardial window, and VAD management
* Average of 3 hearts per day
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Additional skills checklist required, including mesh measuring and additional timeout for retained or additional foreign objects

Facility:

This facility is an 864-bed acute care teaching hospital and a premier regional referral center. It is designated as a Level I Adult Trauma Center and a Level II Pediatric Trauma Center and holds Magnet status for nursing excellence. The hospital is home to the region's only solid organ transplant center and supports advanced cardiovascular surgical procedures through its CVOR department.
