Open Position: RN - Med Surg Neuro

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg

Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts with every other weekend and every other holiday required
* Schedule may rotate between day and night shifts based on unit needs, with consideration given to minimize frequent flipping between days and nights
* Straight days or straight nights may be considered
* Primary unit is 6AB, a 32-bed med/surg unit
* Expected to float to any med/surg unit at any of the 3 Fargo locations as needed
* Nurse to patient ratio of 4-5:1 on day shift and 6:1 on night shift
* Perform assessments, documentation, nursing tasks, and medication administration
* Utilize Epic EMR, Omnicell, and Alaris IV pumps
* Minimum 1 year recent med/surg nursing experience in a large hospital setting (250+ beds) required
* Minimum 2 years recent med/surg experience preferred
* Level 1 trauma experience required
* Travel experience including successful completion required
* Neuro patient experience preferred but not required
* Strong med/surg experience required
* Active ND or Compact RN License required (willing to obtain)
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS
* EPIC experience required
* Must badge in and out at facility
* Scrub color: Navy Blue
* Cannot accept travelers living within a 60-mile radius of the facility

This large acute care facility operates as a Level 1 trauma center with multiple medical center locations in the Fargo area. The organization maintains a robust med/surg program across a network of facilities, offering a dynamic environment for experienced nurses. The facility utilizes Epic EMR and maintains high standards of patient care across its 32-bed med/surg units with structured nurse-to-patient ratios.
