Job Details:

* Labor and postpartum experience is required
* 4x12 shift schedule available upon request
* Patient ratio of 1:3
* 36 hours of orientation provided
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Required certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, NRP
* Preferred certification: AWHONN Advanced
* Block scheduling is not available
* Floating between like units is required, including Post Partum
* Local candidates are not accepted
* Pending licenses are not accepted
* RTO must be included at time of submission; must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period
* Scrub color requirement: Royal Blue or Navy Blue
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Skills include but are not limited to: administration of blood and blood products, magnesium sulfate therapy, fetal heart rate monitoring, neonatal resuscitation, postpartum hemorrhage management, cesarean section support, epidural anesthesia, pitocin administration, and couplet care
* Patients served include neonates, adolescents, and adults
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, and rapid response teams
* Number of weekend shifts is based on the needs of the unit
* Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours

This acute care hospital operates with 277 staffed beds and provides a full range of clinical services. The facility supports an interdisciplinary care model with access to physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretarial support. The labor and delivery unit is equipped to handle a wide range of obstetrical cases and utilizes Epic as its electronic health records system.
