Dermatology MA-C

Job Details:

* 4x10-hour day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, with Fridays and weekends off
* Monday and Thursday shifts located at First Hill clinic with validated parking available
* Tuesday and Wednesday shifts located at Renton clinic with free parking available
* Float between clinic locations within skillset throughout the week
* Reliable personal transportation required as public transportation is not accepted for floating between clinics
* Guaranteed hours subject to facility calling off traveler up to 1 shift per pay period (every 2 weeks)
* Medical Assistant-Certified (MA-C) credential required; MA-R, MA-P, and MA-HT designations are not accepted
* At least 6 months of experience working as an MA in an adult outpatient clinic setting required
* Dermatology experience preferred
* BLS certification required
* Epic charting experience preferred but not required
* Blue scrubs required
* No on-call required
* No weekend shifts required
* Patient age groups include adolescents and adults
* Patient ratio of 2 during day shifts
* Skills expected include authorization forms, biopsy, dermatology, dressing changes, follow-up phone calls, immunizations, labeling of specimens, obtaining vital signs, pharmacy calls and patient refill requests, recording history/medications/allergies, rooming patients, setting up aseptic/sterile procedure trays, suture removal, wound care, and numbing
* Potential crossover to ENT
* This is a temp-to-hire opportunity open to local candidates only within a 50-mile radius

Facility:

This dermatology clinic operates across multiple locations, providing specialized outpatient skin care services to adolescent and adult patients. The facility utilizes Epic as its charting system and offers interdisciplinary support including interpretation services, phlebotomy, and social services. The clinic maintains a collaborative care environment with the potential for staff to cross over into ENT support as needed.
