Opportunity:

Critical Care RN

Job Details:

* Assess patient conditions and plan and implement individualized patient care plans
* Treat wounds and provide advanced life support
* Assist physicians in performing procedures
* Observe and record patient vital signs
* Ensure ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment function properly, including adjusting ventilators and IABP
* Administer intravenous fluids and medications
* Perform suctioning as needed
* Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team
* Respond to life-saving situations using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
* Act as patient advocate
* Provide education and support to patient families
* Care for pre- and post-operative patients as needed
* Must hold valid ACLS and BLS certifications through the American Heart Association
* Must hold a Texas RN or multi-state RN license
