Job Details:

* Night shift position in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
* Option of 36 or 48 hours per week
* Patient ratio of 1:2
* 2 years of experience preferred
* Previous travel experience preferred
* Required certifications in hand at time of submission: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS
* Patient population includes adults and geriatrics
* Skills required include arterial line management, central line care and management, ventilator management, cardiovascular intensive care, care of ventilated patients, continuous IV sedation, blood product administration, BiPAP/CPAP management, pulmonary artery line/Swan Ganz monitoring, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, management of dysrhythmias, interpretation of arterial blood gases, IV insulin protocols, PICC line management, CVVHD/CRRT, IABP, LVAD/RVAD, TAVR, post cardiac surgery care, pre/post cardiac catheterization, hypothermia protocol, CVA/acute stroke management, procedural sedation, sheath removal, phlebotomy, and isolation precautions/PPE
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, social services, and phlebotomy
* Travelers may be expected to float to like units within their scope based on facility needs

Facility:

This facility is a specialized cardiac-focused hospital and is part of a larger main medical center location. The unit consists of 16 beds with a daily census of 10 patients and maintains a consistent 1:2 patient ratio across days, nights, and weekends. The facility provides comprehensive interdisciplinary support services to ensure high-quality patient care in a critical care environment.
