Job Details:
* Work 5x8 hour shifts with start times at 6:30 AM, 9:00 AM, 11:00 AM, or 2:45 PM
* Required case types include CVOR, spine, orthopedics, vascular, general surgery, and robotics
* XI robotics experience preferred
* Work within a 20-room OR suite handling 40-50 cases per day
* On-call required as needed
* Floating within scope required as needed to meet facility needs
* Weekends required on an as-needed basis
* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Travel experience required
* First-time travelers not accepted
* Required certifications: BLS and NBSTSA
* Scrubs provided by facility
* Charting system: Epic (Excellian)
* Required work setting experience: CVOR, General OR, Hybrid OR
* Required cardiovascular case skills: Aortic Aneurysm repair, Atrial Septal Defect repair, Cardiomyoplasty, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Endovascular Aortic Repair (EVAR), Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR), Ventricular Assist Device (VAD)
* Required vascular case skills: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm repair, Arteriovenous Fistula repair, Carotid Angioplasty, Carotid Artery Stenting, Carotid Endarterectomy, Endovascular Aneurysm Repair, Femoral Popliteal Bypass Graft, Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, TEVAR (Thoracic Endovascular Aortic Repair), Vein Stripping
* Required thoracic case skills: Laparoscopic Assisted Cases, Lung Resection - Thoracotomy, VATS
* Required professional knowledge and skills: Aseptic Technique, Isolation Precautions, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety, Sharps Safety, Specimen Handling/Labeling, Sterilization/Disinfection, Universal Protocol (Time Out) Procedure
Facility:
This acute care teaching hospital is a Level 3 trauma center with 317 staffed beds. The facility operates a robust surgical services department with 20 operating rooms performing 40-50 cases per day across a wide range of specialties including cardiovascular, vascular, thoracic, orthopedic, and robotic surgery. The facility utilizes Epic (Excellian) as its charting system and maintains high standards for surgical care across multiple disciplines.
