Nuclear Medicine & CT Tech

Job Details:

* Must hold both a Nuclear Medicine and CT credential - this is a hard requirement
* Required credentials: NMT: ARRT(N) or CNMT, plus CT: ARRT(CT), NMTCB(CT), or R.T.(R)(CT)(ARRT) - or R.T.(N)(CT)(ARRT) which satisfies both requirements
* Required certification: BLS
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; nuclear cardiology experience required
* Charting system: EPIC
* No weekend requirement
* No on-call requirement
* Adult and outpatient work setting
* Daily volume: approximately 6-8 cases per tech per day
* Dress code: any color scrubs
* Must float within skillset without exception
* Clinical skills required include: pulmonary lung scans (perfusion, ventilation/perfusion), myocardial studies (exercise/rest-multiple, exercise/rest-single, pharmacological stress), bone and renal studies (3 phase, limited, whole body, renal flow captopril), GI/thyroid/liver studies (gastric emptying, I-123 uptake scan, uptake scan, liver imaging), and SPECT (bone, thyroid, cardiac imaging)
* Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks
* First-time travelers accepted
* Local candidates accepted

This 25,000-square-foot outpatient imaging center is connected to the main hospital via a pedestrian bridge. The center offers a comprehensive range of imaging services including nuclear medicine, CT, MRI, digital mammography, DEXA, breast MRI and biopsies, ultrasound, and X-ray services. It operates as a partnership between a major health system and a university radiology group, and is part of New Jersey's largest integrated healthcare system.
