CT/Rad Tech

Job Details:

* Friday through Sunday shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
* Float between CT and X-ray departments, including OR and bedside portables
* No on-call responsibilities
* Holiday rotation expected, typically 50-75% of holidays during contract
* Schedule is managed in 6-week increments by the department manager
* 1 to 1.5 weeks of orientation provided based on comfort level
* Minimum 1 year of CT experience required
* First-time travelers accepted
* Perform CT imaging for ED, outpatient, and inpatient populations including primarily adult and geriatric patients with some pediatrics
* CT case types include oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, trauma, biopsies (training provided), and Cardiac CTA (training provided)
* Perform X-ray imaging including fluoroscopy, C-arm in OR, and portable bedside studies across ICU, MedSurg, and ER
* X-ray patient population includes primarily adult and geriatric patients with some pediatrics
* IV start skills and biopsy experience highly preferred
* OR/C-arm and fluoroscopy experience highly preferred but not required; must be comfortable being trained on these duties
* Experience with CTA studies and general imaging studies required
* EMR system: Cerner
* PACS system: Enterprise Imaging AGFA
* CT equipment includes Siemens X.Cite and GE 16 slice PET CT; experience with Siemens or GE preferred but not required
* X-ray equipment includes Siemens, T-Rad digital, Canon Ultimax Hybrid C-arm, Phillips and OEC C-arms in OR, and various mobile units
* Any solid color scrubs permitted or hospital-issued scrubs available
* Free parking available on site
* Required certifications: BLS, ARRT (R) - CT, Maine State License

Facility:

This teaching facility operates with 89 licensed beds and features a well-equipped imaging department including one CT room, one PET CT room used as a backup CT machine, and three X-ray rooms consisting of two general rooms and one fluoroscopy and pain clinic room. The department averages 25 to 30 patients per day and is supported by a lead tech, internal transport, and radiologists available both on-site and remotely. The organization prioritizes staff development and offers training for specialized procedures such as biopsies and Cardiac CTA.
