Opportunity:

RN - Oncology

Job Details:

* 13-week contract with 37.5 hours per week guaranteed
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Care for adult medical oncology patients including GI, GU, Breast, Head and Neck, Neuro, Thoracic, Lymphoma, and Leukemia diagnoses
* Care for GYN oncology and classic hematology patients including Sickle cell, anemia, factor 8, and ITP
* Perform and assist with Bone Marrow Biopsy in clinic
* GYN oncology procedures include paps, biopsy, colposcopy, and pelvic exams
* Required skills include accessing ports, central line blood draws, Neupogen administration, hormonal therapy, and colostomy care
* Additional procedures include port flush with or without blood collection, injections, and blood draws
* Epic charting system experience required
* BLS certification required
* Active NJ or Compact license required
* Float within skillset required; patient ratios vary based on census and staffing
* Must be available to work 2 of 3 holidays
* Bariatric scale equipment used on unit
* Interdisciplinary support includes interpretation services, phlebotomy, social services, pharmacy, transportation, and unit secretary

This facility is a comprehensive medical center offering specialized oncology and hematology services, supporting a high-volume outpatient clinic environment with up to 50 patient visits per day across 12 rooms. The unit provides robust interdisciplinary support including pharmacy, social services, phlebotomy, and interpretation services, ensuring a collaborative and well-resourced environment for both staff and patients.
