Opportunity:
RN - Labor and Delivery
Job Details:
* Minimum 2 years of experience required; first-time travelers not accepted
* Travel experience required
* Patient population includes neonates/infants and adults
* Patient ratio of 1:1-2 on days, nights, and weekends
* Unit consists of 16 L&D beds with an average daily census of 15 and a 6-bed L&D Triage
* Self-scheduling model
* 3 weekend shifts required per contract
* Call requirements: 2 calls required per 6 weeks for AM and PM shifts
* Maximum of 7 days of requested time off per contract; no RTO during orientation week
* RTO blackout dates: Spring Break (April 4th?12th)
* Floating within facility and scope of practice as needed
* Holiday coverage expected based on number of major holidays falling within assignment period
* 24 orientation hours required
* Scrubs provided by the facility
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP; AWHONN Intermediate preferred
* Epic charting system experience required; Pyxis and SBAR also utilized
* Georgia or Compact nursing license required at time of submission
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Key clinical skills include: labor and vaginal delivery, C-sections, multiple births, postpartum hemorrhage, pregnancy-induced hypertension, D&C, magnesium sulfate therapy, external and internal fetal monitoring, epidural anesthesia, triage of obstetrical patients, hemorrhage/shock management, high-risk antepartum care, and use of operating room equipment
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, rapid response teams, radiology, social services, and more
