Opportunity:
Medical Assistant - OBGYN
Job Details:
* 8-hour shifts scheduled between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
* No weekend requirements
* Floating required as needed between Beverly Hills, Los Feliz, and Playa Vista locations
* No scheduling requests can be accommodated
* Minimum 2 years of experience in an outpatient clinic setting required
* Minimum 1 year of experience in OBGYN required
* Medical Assistant diploma from a DAPIP accredited program required
* Required certifications: BLS (AHA or ARC only), CMA
* High school diploma or GED required
* Proficiency with blood/lab draws and venipuncture required
* Experience with Epic charting system required
* Experience with the following OBGYN procedures required: PAP, Colposcopy, LEEP, D&C, EMB, IUD insertions and removals, Nexplanon, and NST
* Responsible for rooming patients, blood and specimen collection, vital signs, and patient histories
* Administer medications and perform immunizations
* Conduct telephone triage and follow-up phone calls
* Record patient history, medications, and allergies
* Assist with QA measures including recording QC testing on designated equipment
* Address patient, physician, and staff concerns and escalate accordingly
* Monitor workflow to identify opportunities for improvement
* Participate in daily huddles and staff meetings
* Adhere to all infection prevention standards, department policies, and guidelines
* Patients served are adults with women's reproductive health diagnoses
Facility:
This large OBGYN practice operates with approximately 20 providers and delivers comprehensive women's health services. The facility provides OB visits, GYN consults, and a wide range of OB/GYN procedures in a dynamic outpatient clinic setting. The organization is committed to high-quality patient care and maintains multiple locations throughout the Los Angeles area to serve its patient population.
