Opportunity:
CNA - Sub-Acute Care
Job Details:
* Work in a sub-acute care setting focused on patients with ventilator and tracheostomy dependency
* Must be comfortable working with patients that have trachs and vents
* CNAs are responsible for 8-10 patients each
* Direct care provided alongside LVNs and Respiratory Therapists
* May be required to float to a sister facility within scope
* Occasionally assigned to the RNA role with necessary training provided during orientation
* Scheduled Safe Patient Handling Class provided
* Weekend coverage required
* Facility may call off once per two-week pay period (guaranteed hours)
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, and New Year's Day
* Block schedule availability is per manager discretion
* At least 1 year of experience required
* Long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a hard requirement
* LTAC experience preferred
* Travel experience required
* Patient age groups include adults and geriatrics
* Charting system: Meditech
* Scrub color: Any color
* Free parking available
* Required certification: BLS
* Special equipment used includes wound vac, ARJO lift equipment, and hover mats
* Interdisciplinary support includes physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, social services, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* 2 references required covering 1 year (6 months for CNAs) within the last 3 years
Facility:
This sub-acute care center is dedicated to the treatment and care of patients with complex and unique medical needs, including ventilator and tracheostomy dependency. Patients receive sub-acute care through rehabilitation, home care, or long-term care services. The facility operates across the street from the main hospital campus and is supported by a comprehensive interdisciplinary team. With a daily census of 110 patients and 125 rooms, the center provides a collaborative care environment with access to a wide range of specialty support services.
