Job Details:

* 12-hour shifts beginning at 6:45 AM with occasional float to 8:45 AM and 10:45 AM starts
* Schedule includes Saturday, Sunday, and one variable weekday based on staffing needs
* Weekend requirement: Yes
* On-call requirement: No
* 13-week contract
* Minimum 3 years of OR experience required - no first-time travelers accepted
* Travel experience required
* Level I or Level II Trauma Center experience required (hard stop)
* Epic charting system experience required (hard stop)
* Required case types (hard stops): General, GU/GYN, Neuro, ENT, and Plastics
* Must be able to circulate an emergent craniotomy
* Patient ratio: 1:1
* Unit consists of 41 ORs within a Level 1 Trauma Center
* Daily census: 90?110 patients; 38 rooms
* May float to other OR units within the same health system
* Scrubbing experience in spine from a Level 1 Trauma Center is highly preferred
* Helpful experience includes CT, TX, burn, ortho, sports medicine, hand/foot/ankle, and vascular (not required)
* Required certifications: AHA BLS
* Required license: Colorado RN license or Compact RN license
* Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
* RTO is not allowed during the following blackout periods: June 28?July 9, 2026; September 2?September 12, 2026; October 25?November 4, 2026
* No blocked scheduling requests permitted
* Proficiency with the following procedures preferred: abdominal/vaginal hysterectomy, craniotomy, lumbar fusion, nephrectomy, Whipple, trauma, and additional complex surgical cases

Facility:

This facility is a Level 1 Trauma Center operating a large surgical suite with 41 operating rooms serving a high daily census of 90?110 patients. The unit performs a wide variety of complex surgical procedures across multiple specialties including general surgery, neurosurgery, GU/GYN, ENT, and plastics. Interdisciplinary support services include respiratory services, interpretation services, radiology, social services, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and transportation.
