Opportunity:

RN - Clinical Educator

Job Details:

* Active Alaska nursing license required at time of submittal
* 3 years of professional clinical instructor experience required
* 5 years of professional nursing experience required with minimum 2 years as staff RN in a specialty (ER, ICU, OB, OR)
* Two years of supervisory experience required
* Prior Emergency Room/Trauma and/or Remote Rural experience preferred
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS; TNCC instructor certification preferred
* Maintain and administer consortium-wide clinical education programs for clinical staff to meet regulatory requirements
* Design, teach, and evaluate training programs for professional and non-professional staff
* Oversee trauma registrar program to maintain compliance with state regulatory requirements
* Coordinate and provide training resources for ACLS, PALS, BLS, NRP, Coast Guard Medivac, and other programs
* Oversee IHS Emergency Pediatric Hybrid program for the consortium
* Supervise clinical educators in development and implementation of their programs
* Partner with site and department managers to identify clinical education needs and best practices
* Collaborate with performance improvement teams to develop clinical competencies in defined specialty areas
* Lead development and completion of clinical education audits and action plans
* Participate in evidence-based research to identify strategies for improving professional development activities
* Attend and participate in at least 50% of Nurse Executive Committee meetings
* Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
* Must reside at least 100 miles away from the facility address
