Opportunity:

RN - Medical Surgical

Job Details:

* Every 3rd weekend schedule required
* No on-call responsibilities
* Float across all campuses as required
* 24 months of Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
* Post-operative surgical experience highly preferred
* Patient care experience with hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries highly preferred
* PCA and heparin drip experience required
* EPIC EMR experience required
* Must work 1-2 of 3 upcoming summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless unit is closed
* Unit bed size: 30 with a patient ratio of 1:4-5
* Patient types include hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries
* Skills checklist specific to Medical Surgical or Medical Surgical/Telemetry required
* Active Iowa license or compact/multistate license required at time of submission
* Professional reference from charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred
* Valid driver's license required
* BLS certification from AHA or ARC required
* All candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility

The facility features a 30-bed Medical Surgical unit with a focus on post-operative care for a variety of surgical patient types.
