Opportunity:

RN - Labor and Delivery

Job Details:

* Rapid response assignment for 6 weeks with possibility to extend an additional 6 weeks at the same rate
* 48 hours guaranteed per week
* Work on a Labor and Delivery unit located on the 2nd floor of Building B in the Vintage Tower
* Day shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 10 staff, and 2 OB Techs
* Night shift staffing includes 1 charge nurse, 10 staff, and 2 OB Techs
* Patient ratios of 1 RN to 2 patients or 1 RN to 1 patient depending on acuity
* Utilize GE fetal monitoring equipment and EMR systems CPN and Meditech
* Perform typical procedures including NST, cervical exams, managing labor, titrating medications, and McRoberts maneuver
* Must be proficient in AWHONN Fetal Monitoring
* Must be willing to float to Postpartum/Couplet Care
* Perform Couplet Care when floated
* Weekend shifts required as needed
* No scheduled on-call typically required
* Preferred: over 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience and Transition Nurse/Baby Catching skills
* Dress code: Hospital infant security scrubs
* Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN EFM - must be included in submission packet
* No special scheduling requests or RTO considered

This facility is a full-service community hospital offering a comprehensive Labor and Delivery unit with 11 labor beds, 4 OB evaluation beds, 2 OB PACU beds, and 2 operating rooms. The unit is staffed with a dedicated team of nurses and OB technicians across both day and night shifts, providing high-quality care to obstetric patients. The fast-paced environment is well-suited for those who thrive in organized, high-volume settings.
