Job Details:

* Day shift, 5x8 schedule
* Patient ratio of 1:1 during days, nights, and weekends
* Weekend coverage varies depending on number of employees
* Home base in the OR with potential floating to day surgery, endoscopy, PACU, and holding areas
* Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
* First time travelers accepted
* Must have a permanent address within 100 miles of the facility; candidates between 75-99 miles may be considered on a case-by-case basis
* WV or Compact License required; pending license accepted for submission
* Community hospital experience preferred
* Charting system experience required; system used is CERNER
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS (must be through American Heart Association)
* Treats patients across all age groups including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including physical therapy, respiratory services, interpretation services, phlebotomy, radiology, rapid response teams, pharmacy, and unit secretary
* Key clinical skills include general OR, scrub surgical procedures, laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures, orthopedic surgeries, gynecological procedures, ENT, urology, ophthalmology, infection control, laser safety, malignant hyperthermia protocols, specimen handling, and universal protocol (time out) procedures

This facility is part of a large integrated health system offering a wide range of surgical and clinical services. The operating room department is supported by a robust interdisciplinary team and utilizes modern technology including Da Vinci Robotics and orthopedic robotic surgery systems. The facility maintains high standards of patient care across a broad spectrum of surgical specialties and serves patients of all age groups.
