Special Procedures Technologist

Job Details:

* Support IC, IR, Vascular, Structural Heart, and Neuro specialties
* Guaranteed 40 hours per week
* Block scheduling with attempts made to schedule as consistently as possible
* Daily caseload of 15 patients
* Weeknight and weekend call required
* 8 call days within a 4-week period
* 1 call weekend every 3-5 weeks, Friday through Monday
* 24 hours on-call Saturday and Sunday
* 2-hour call back minimum required
* Float within cath lab unit as needed; no floating to sister facilities
* Minimum 1 year of experience required
* Electronic charting experience required
* Required certifications: ACLS, ARRT R, BLS, and State License
* Top procedures include: Structural Heart (TAVR, Mitraclip, Watchman), IR, Neuro, Vascular, Cardiac, and EP
* Must be proficient with the following skills: Cardiac Implant Closure Device, Cardiac Stent Placement, Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab, Diagnostic Catheterizations (Adult), Equipment Setup, IABP Placement/Removal, Interpretation of Dysrhythmias, Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Left Heart Catheterization, Percutaneous Coronary Interventions (PCI), Percutaneous Transluminal Coronary Angioplasty (PTCA), Recognition of Life-Threatening Arrhythmias, Right Heart Catheterization, Room Circulator, Rotablator Atherectomy, Scrub Procedures, Scrub - Maintain Sterile Field, and Sterile Technique
* Most common equipment includes: Philips Imaging Systems, Philips Xper Hemo System, Philips IVUS/IFR/FFR, Boston IVUS IFR/FFR, OCT, Roto, Penumbra, Angiojet, Jetstream, EKOS, and Shockwave
* Patients served include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics

This facility is a 220-bed hospital operating a 5-room cath lab unit with a daily census of 15 patients. The facility offers comprehensive interdisciplinary support services including IV Teams, Physical Therapy, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Phlebotomy, Radiology, Social Services, Lift Teams, Rapid Response Teams, Pharmacy, and Transportation. The cath lab team specializes in advanced structural heart procedures and maintains a robust inventory of cutting-edge imaging and interventional equipment to support a wide range of cardiac, vascular, and neuro procedures.
