Opportunity:

RN - Emergency Department

Job Details:

* Minimum 2 years of experience required
* Patient ratio of 1:4 for days, nights, and weekends
* Every other weekend required, 6-8 shifts per contract
* No on-call required
* Self-scheduling available per manager discretion for block scheduling
* May float to Pediatrics unit as needed with support provided
* May be required to float to sister facility within the area
* Guaranteed hours with facility able to call off once per two-week pay period
* Scrub color: Any color
* Charting system: Epic experience required
* Free parking available
* Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS; TNCC, EDAP or ENPC preferred
* Previous charge experience preferred
* Trauma Level I and Level II experience preferred
* Skills required include: blood product administration, central line care/management, continuous IV sedation, interpretation of dysrhythmias, IV vasopressors, isolation precautions/PPE, phlebotomy, procedural sedation administration and monitoring, starting and maintaining IVs, and triage
* Preferred skills include: arterial line management, BiPAP/CPAP management, care of ventilated patient, ICP monitoring, and interpretation of arterial blood gases
* Patient age groups served: neonates, infants, adolescents, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics
* Interdisciplinary support available including IV teams, physical therapy, respiratory services, pharmacy, radiology, rapid response teams, and social services
* Must commit to working 3 of the 5 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day
* All RTO requests must be submitted at time of submittal

Facility:

This is an acute care hospital with 356 total staffed beds serving a diverse patient population. The emergency department consists of 29 rooms and 35 beds with a daily census of approximately 185 and around 180 visits per day. The facility is both a STEMI-certified and stroke-certified facility with comprehensive interdisciplinary support services available to staff and patients.
